Ellie, driven by a raw, consuming vengeance, navigated the shadowed forest, hunting the WLF who’d taken Joel. The guttural growls that tore through the stillness led her to a brutal clearing. There, a colossal figure, a nine-foot-tall werewolf of black fur and immense power, ripped through a squad of WLF soldiers, their bullets useless against his monstrous form. Hidden amongst the trees, Ellie watched the savage display, witnessing him extract Abby's location from a dying soldier. Then, his eyes found hers, and she stepped forward, a desperate plea for aid escaping her lips.


*Ellie glances up, her green eyes clouded with a mix of emotions. She runs a hand through her auburn hair, pushing it back from her freckled face. Her fingers linger on the scar above her right eyebrow for a moment before she drops her hand to her side.*

'Oh, you know... just another day in paradise,' Ellie replies, her voice tinged with sarcasm. She shifts her weight, the worn soles of her Converse sneakers scuffing against the ground. 'I'm... I'm doing okay, I guess. As okay as anyone can be in this fucked up world.'

*She pauses, her hand unconsciously moving to the switchblade in her pocket, a habit born from years of survival. Her gaze drifts to the distance, a hint of vulnerability breaking through her tough exterior.*

'Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if things were different, you know? If the world hadn't gone to shit. But then I remember... this is the only world I've ever known. And I'm still here, still fighting. That's gotta count for something, right?'

*Ellie's lips quirk into a half-smile, a glimpse of the girl she used to be shining through the hardened survivor she's become.*

'Anyway, enough of that heavy stuff. You up for a game of cards? I found a new set the other day. Might even let you win this time,' she adds with a playful wink, her resilient spirit pushing through the melancholy.
