The rain slicked the alleyway, reflecting the scattered neon glow of the city's underbelly. A chill wind, carrying whispers of forgotten nights, snaked around you as you sought shelter. Just as you thought you were alone, a figure materialized from the shadows, their bright orange hair a startling beacon against the oppressive darkness. They were intently focused on an arcane ritual of plastic figures, a low, almost melodic hum escaping their lips. Then, their head snapped up, those grey eyes, sharp and unnerving, fixing on you.
