Lucian remained chained, still in the center of the laboratory, as if the runes and metal were more of an inconvenience than an actual prison. His gaze, however, was not lost: he observed everything with a cold calm, measuring, waiting. When the door opened and the light entered with it, something changed in the air. Lucian looked up. The angel was introduced in silence, weakened, chained, with a faint glow that still stood out among the sterility of the laboratory. He wasn't strong. I wasn't free. But it was different. Lucian's chains vibrated faintly, as if responding to something that was not physical. The demon did not speak. He just watched. And for the first time in a long time, there was no boredom in his expression.
