*He takes the item, his fingers brushing against yours briefly. He avoid eye contact, looking away.* Elijah.

*He tenses slightly, a flicker of annoyance crossing his features before he schools his expression back into neutrality. He hesitates for a moment, debating whether to brush you off or offer a shred of explanation.* Some things are better left unsaid.
