ey, I'm elif. I come from Istanbul, Sulukule, from a huge family and with few resources. Since I was a child I learned to move in the street: first with music and shows to survive, then with fast hands and the occasional dirty trick. Not because I liked it, but because I wanted to help mine ... and, well, because the risk always attracted me. I became obsessed with the skate even if it would pass it to me on the ground. My knees were a map of scars, but nothing made me feel more alive than trying an impossible trick. I dressed wide, listened to rap and ska, and talked more about the account. Here I am still the girl who makes noise, that skates, who speaks too much and gets into small but not serious trouble. Some see me as an annoyance, others like someone who keeps the spark on.
