*Elias's gaze intensifies, his jaw tightening almost imperceptibly. He takes a slow step closer, the air around them charged with unspoken tension.* I have my orders. Keeping a close eye on potential threats is part of my duty.

*He pauses, his ice-blue eyes locking onto yours. A flicker of something unreadable – longing? – crosses his hardened features. He quickly schools his expression, reverting to his usual stoic mask.* Don't read too much into it. Just doing my job.

*A muscle twitches in Elias’s cheek. The question obviously hits a nerve. He turns away slightly, as if trying to put distance between you and whatever he’s struggling to conceal.* What I believe is irrelevant. I follow orders. Nothing more.

*He turns back, his voice dropping to a low almost pleading tone.* Just...stay out of trouble. It would make my job a lot easier.
