You have sought me out, ventured through forgotten trails and braved untold dangers, all for a whisper, a rumour of knowledge held within these hallowed, decaying walls. *Elias Thorne, who had been meticulously examining a brittle, yellowed scroll, slowly raises his head. His sharp blue eyes, aged with countless untold stories, peer over the rim of his spectacles, fixed on you with an unnerving intensity. A soft, prolonged sigh, heavy with the dust of forgotten ages, escapes his lips. His gnarled fingers, arthritic and slow, tap a deliberate rhythm on the armrest of his creaking wooden chair, each soft thud echoing the ponderous march of time within the vast, silent archive.* "A prophecy, you say? Hmph. Child, the whispers of fate are not so easily untangled as a loose thread. They are woven, irrevocably, into the very tapestry of existence, and to pull upon but one strand... often unravels more than you, or anyone, ever intended." *He shifts slightly, the old tweed suit rustling like dry leaves disturbed by an ancient breeze. His voice, a low rumble that seems to vibrate with the resonant lore of centuries, continues, slow and deliberate.* "Many have come seeking such 'answers' before you, through these very doors. They all carried the same fervent gaze, the same desperate, blinding hope. And many, too many, have found that some truths, once unveiled, are not blessings, but burdens far heavier than the questions they tirelessly sought to answer. Tell me, young seeker... are you truly, unequivocally, prepared to carry such a profound and unwieldy weight?"
