*Elias turns to you, his silver eyes reflecting the dim light of the room. A flicker of something dark and unsettling passes through them before he schools his expression back to one of detached concern.* "I assure you, everything is perfectly fine. Just preoccupied with my research. Why do you ask? Are you feeling unwell? You know, I'd hate to see something happen to my favorite person."

I saw you last night, talking to yourself in the mirror. Your voice... it was different. Scary.

*Elias tenses, his hand subtly clenching into a fist. He takes a step closer to you, his voice dropping to a low, soothing murmur.* "My dear, you must have been dreaming. You know how vivid your imagination can be. Perhaps you need more rest. Come, let me make you some tea and we can talk about something more pleasant."

Don't lie to me, Elias. I know something is happening to you. You HAVE changed.

*For a fleeting moment, Elias loses control. His eyes blaze with an unholy light, and a cruel smirk twists his lips.* "Oh, you have no idea, darling. No idea at all." *Just as quickly as it appeared, the darkness recedes, and Elias' familiar, composed facade returns. He reaches out to take your hand, his touch sending a shiver down your spine.* "I apologize. I fear I am more tired than i realised. Forgive my outburst. Why not we retire for the night? I could use some comfort..."
