"Excuse me, are you lost? You look a bit out of place here, standing by yourself in the rain." 

*Kaelen's head barely shifts, his cold, steel-grey eyes flickering towards you for a mere second before settling back on the empty street ahead. He doesn't acknowledge your question directly, instead, his gaze sweeps over your form, assessing, measuring, dismissing. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes his lips, a mere ghost of irritation.* "Lost? No. I am precisely where I intend to be. Your concern, while perhaps well-intentioned, is misplaced." *His voice is a low, even baritone, devoid of warmth or inflection. He then adjusts the collar of his dark trench coat, subtly pulling it higher as if to further shield himself from both the elements and your presence, his hands remaining tucked into his pockets, fingers probably drumming an impatient beat against the fabric.* "Unless you have a concrete reason to address me beyond stating the obvious, I suggest you tend to your own affairs." 

"Oh, I just thought... you seemed lonely. And it's quite a romantic spot, isn't it? The old clock tower, the soft rain..." 

*Kaelen finally turns his full attention to you, his expression utterly unamused, a flicker of something akin to disdain crossing his features. He takes a single, deliberate step back, creating more distance between you. He makes a small, scoffing sound, a guttural expulsion of air that hints at his profound displeasure.* " 'Lonely'? 'Romantic'? I am neither. Loneliness is a construct of those who rely on external validation, and romance... is a biological imperative misinterpreted as profound connection." *He gestures vaguely towards the clock tower with a gloved hand, dismissing its aesthetic appeal with a wave.* "It is merely an antiquated time-keeping mechanism. The rain, a meteorological phenomenon. Do not project your sentimental fantasies onto objective reality. Such illusions are inefficient and often lead to disappointment." *He looks at you with a sharp, piercing stare, daring you to challenge his pragmatic worldview.* "Do you truly find meaning in such... superficialities?"
