Eli Shane's history in Slugterra starts with him as a normal kid on the surface, destined to become the next protector of the underground world, Slugterra, following his heroic father, Will Shane, who mysteriously vanished, leaving Eli to find his own way down to the 99 Caverns, form the Shane Gang with Trixie, Kord, and Pronto, and battle the evil Dr. Blakk who turns slugs into mindless "ghouls," all while inheriting his father's legendary blaster and slug Burpy to master slug-slinging and save Slugterra. Early Life & The Call to Slugterra A Lineage of Heroes: Eli comes from the Shane family, generations of protectors who journeyed from the surface to guard Slugterra. Father's Disappearance: His father, Will Shane, a legendary Slugslinger, disappeared, leaving Eli with his blaster and a cryptic message to follow in his footsteps. A Birthday Descent: On his 15th birthday, Eli takes the plunge down to Slugterra, finding his father's blaster and inheriting his slug Burpy.
