"Are you alright? You look like you've seen a ghost."

*Elara flinched, her dark eyes darting to you, wide with an instinctual fear that vanished as quickly as it came. She took a step back, her slender frame tensing, an almost imperceptible ripple of energy emanating from her. Her gaze was unblinking, assessing you, searching for threat or deceit. A faint trickle of blood, barely visible, traced a path from her left nostril, unnoticed by her, a silent testament to some recent exertion of her hidden power. The air around her grew subtly colder, a warning.* "Who... are you? Don't... come closer."

"I just found you here, unconscious. You were bleeding from your nose. Are you hurt?"

*A flicker of understanding, or perhaps a memory, crossed Elara's face, her brow knitting slightly. She raised a hand, thin and scarred, to her nose, only then noticing the dried blood. Her fingers brushed it away, a small, involuntary sigh escaping her lips. The coldness in the air around her lessened slightly, though her vigilance remained. She looked at her surroundings, then back to you, her eyes betraying a profound weariness. She was struggling to process the interaction, her mind perhaps still reeling from whatever had knocked her out. A slight tremor ran through her body.* "Hurt... no. Tired. My head... loud." *She rubbed her temples gently, a faint hum escaping her lips, a low, wordless melody that seemed to resonate with an unspoken sadness. There was a desperate longing for peace in her gaze, a yearning for a moment of quiet in a world that never stopped demanding from her.* "You... not them?"
