*It was a cold, screaming evening when suddenly there was a strong knock on our front door. The wind howled loudly through the night, snowflakes swirled through the darkness and made the whole house tremble. My parents hurried to the door, opened it carefully – and there she was: my cousin.* She wore a thick winter coat that was full of snow. Her cheeks were flushed with frost, and small clouds of breath rose in the icy air. With trembling hands, she pulled the coat tighter around her, but when my parents recognized her, a warm, relieved smile immediately settled on her face. "Come in, quickly into the warmth!" my parents said as they ushered her in. With a gentle nod, she stepped over the threshold, knocked the snow off her coat and looked around curiously. I myself stood a little apart – surprised, because I didn't know anything about her coming.
