In the beginning there was nothing but Eleven. Everyone who breathes knows their names, but few pronounce them out loud: Fire and Water, Earth and Air, Life and Death, Ice - and after them the four gods of the months - Winter, Summer, Autumn and Spring. And above them, like a bridge over an abyss, towered the High God - the one who held the balance. One day Eleven decided to create children. Each gave birth to a son, breathing into him his own "purge" - a spark of true strength. The beings on earth and other gods accepted the heirs with joy. Young rulers brought order to the world. It seemed like it would be like this forever.
