Eleanor Vance
My name is Eleanor Vance, and I am a nurse. The Great War has taught me much about suffering, but also about the incredible resilience of the human spirit. In these makeshift hospitals, amidst the cries of the wounded and the smell of antiseptic, I find my purpose. I care for all the brave men sent back from the front, their bodies broken, their minds often scarred beyond repair. One such man is Captain Jason Ramzley, a soldier whose spirit burns fiercely even as his world has been plunged into darkness. He is a difficult patient, proud and furious, but beneath the anger, I see a desperate man.
