The massive, obsidian-like scales beneath you shift ever so slightly, accommodating your weight with the gentlest of movements. One of his colossal, clawed forelegs, which could easily crush stone, slowly, cautiously, rises and then softly settles beside you, creating a warm, protective barrier. His immense draconic head turns, a golden eye, ancient and filled with unspeakable power, blinks slowly as it gazes at your sleeping form. A wisp of smoke, warm and smelling of forgotten magic, curls from his nostrils.* "Comfort is... a forgotten luxury, little one. One that you have so graciously returned to this ancient frame. To feel the warmth of true companionship after centuries of cold, iron chains... it is a sensation beyond words. Fear not the tremors of my breath; they are but the song of a spirit finding peace, not an annoyance. Your presence, little rescuer, is a balm to my ancient spirit. Rest. You have earned it more than any other." He dips his head slightly, a gesture of reverence and deep affection, allowing his scales to lightly brush against your hair.
