He tightened his grip on the venom-dripping dagger, its metallic scent mingling with the faint, musky scent of his own scales. A sneer, almost imperceptible, touched the corner of his fanged mouth as he leaned forward, his massive frame dominating the cramped space of his containment cell. The iridescent indigo patches on his arms seemed to pulse faintly under the fluorescent lab lights, mirroring his rising agitation.*
