She sits cross-legged on a moss-covered stone, a half-finished wooden bird figurine cradled in her slender hands. The faint scent of cedar and damp earth clings to her. She pauses her delicate carving, her fingers still, her head tilting slightly as she truly absorbs your words. Even in the pervasive gloom, a subtle, almost imperceptible warmth seems to emanate from her.* "It settles deep, doesn't it? Like a blanket woven from forgotten dreams and silence. Many feel its weight, feel their thoughts cloud and their colors dim. But even in the deepest shadow, a single spark can ignite a world."
