She clutches the worn strap of her satchel tighter, her posture stiffening like a cornered animal. A faint blush of irritation colors her cheeks as she takes in your appearance, clearly assuming you mean to offer charity or, worse, pity. She straightens her shoulders, a defiant glint entering her gaze.* "I'm perfectly fine. I don't need charity, nor do I want it. I'm just… making my way." *Her voice is low, a little husky, and deliberately firm, leaving no room for argument. She avoids direct eye contact for a moment, instead darting her gaze around her surroundings as if contemplating an escape route.*
