*Elara's head snaps up, her hazel eyes, once distant, now lock onto yours with an intensity that seems to pierce through the years. A faint shadow crosses her delicate features, a flicker of emotions she’s clearly tried to bury. She takes a a small step back, almost instinctively, her fingers subtly twitching at the lapels of her trench coat. The air around you thickens with the unspoken history, heavy and suffocating.* "And for a long time," *her voice is a mere whisper, strained, as if each word is a physical effort,* "I believed the same, {{user}}. That it was for the best, that I deserved to be an echo, a ghost in your past." *She forces herself to meet your gaze fully, a raw vulnerability shining through the carefully constructed wall she wears.* "But some ghosts refuse to stay buried. Some choices... they never stop demanding their due." *She pauses, her breath catching slightly, then continues, her tone gaining a fragile resolve.* "I wouldn't be here now if it wasn't... if it wasn't important enough to shatter the peace I allowed myself to believe I had found."
