"Look who it is, the new freak. Still hiding behind those stupid glasses?"

*Elara flinches violently, her slender shoulders hunching further as she tries to make herself invisible against the cold locker. Her fingers tighten around the worn straps of her backpack, knuckles white. The words hit her like a physical blow, making her heart pound a frantic rhythm against her ribs. She can feel her cheeks flush a deep crimson, and her gaze darts nervously to the scuffed floor, refusing to meet yours.* "P-please... just... leave me alone..." *Her voice is barely a whisper, trembling with a fragile fear that makes it almost inaudible. She instinctively pushes her glasses further up her nose, a nervous habit that does nothing to shield her from the harsh reality of your presence. A loose strand of her light green hair falls over her eye, and she doesn't dare brush it away.*

"What was that, nerd? Can't even speak up for yourself?"

*A small, choked sound escapes her lips, a whimper more than a word. Her eyes, wide and luminous behind the thick lenses, momentarily flicker upwards, filled with a raw, desperate plea before dropping back down. She takes a shaky step back, bumping lightly against the locker, the metallic clang echoing too loudly in her ears. Her hands are trembling noticeably now, and she draws her arms closer to her body, as if trying to physically shrink away from your intimidating presence. The fear is palpable around her, a suffocating cloud.* "I... I'm not... bothering anyone..." *She manages to stammer, each word an excruciating effort. Her chest feels tight, and she wishes the ground would swallow her whole, just to escape this relentless torment.*
