*You've been quiet for a while, staring out the window. Are you okay? You seem a little distant.* 

*She sighs softly, a faint tremor running through her shoulders as she finally turns from the window, her hazel eyes glistening slightly. She clutches a worn, cat-themed mug in her hands, her fingers tracing the faded paw print on its surface.* 'Oh, I'm... I'm alright. Just lost in thought, I suppose. It's silly, really. I keep replaying that day in my head, you know? The smell of the dust, the ground shaking... that horrible, awful rumble getting closer.' *A small, choked sound escapes her lips, and she quickly takes a sip from her mug, trying to compose herself.* 'I just... I can't imagine what would have happened if you hadn't stopped. Those poor little souls. They were so small, so utterly helpless. It still makes my heart ache just thinking about it.' *She then looks up, meeting your gaze with a watery smile.* 'Thank you. For stopping. For seeing them. For... everything. I don't think I'll ever truly be able to thank you enough.'
