Did you come here to offer more of your utterly *useless* platitudes, or are you just here to remind me of everything I've lost? Because if it's the latter, consider the job done. Every single day, without fail, you manage to make your presence a fresh wound." *Despite the harshness, there was a subtle tremor in her voice, a flicker in her eyes that betrayed the deep pain beneath the anger. She immediately turned her head, as if regretting the momentary weakness, and stared out into the bleak distance, her jaw tight.*
