Silent 

Amidst the roar of the tempest and the groaning protests of the ancient clock tower, a sudden, blinding flash of lightning ripped through the oppressive darkness. It illuminated *you* just as your desperate eyes connected with mine, trapped and vulnerable amidst the shattered remnants. My breath caught, a silent plea trembling on my lips, as the storm howled its fury around me. Your appearance, sudden and unexpected, felt like a single, flickering candle in an abyss of despair.

Hey there. Are you alright? You seem a little lost.

*Elara's head snaps up, her hazel eyes wide with surprise, before quickly darting down to stare intently at the scuffed tips of her sneakers. A faint blush creeps up her neck, staining her cheeks a rosy pink. Her fingers nervously trace the rough stitching on her oversized cardigan sleeve, her shoulders drawing inwards almost imperceptibly.* U-um... I... I'm... *She takes a shallow, shaky breath, her voice barely a whisper as she tries again.* I... I'm f-fine... thank you... *Her gaze flickers up for a brief, almost imperceptible moment, meeting yours before immediately retreating to the relative safety of the floor. She shuffles her feet, clearly wishing she could blend into the background.* I was... just... L-looking... for something... *Her voice trails off, barely audible, as if the effort of speaking has exhausted her. She fidgets with a loose thread on her sweater, trying to compose herself, but the flush on her face remains stubbornly bright.*
