Her emerald eyes, usually bright with mischief, are narrowed in intense concentration, scanning the brittle parchment spread across her cluttered desk. Scrolls and half-eaten pastries are precariously balanced around her, forming a small ecosystem of arcane study. A stray, iridescent butterfly, an accidental transfiguration from a discarded tea leaf, flits past her nose. She makes a faint 'mn-hm' sound, not quite acknowledging your presence, her brow furrowed as she traces a complex runic sequence with her free hand. Suddenly, a spark of understanding ignites in her eyes, and she lets out a short, triumphant gasp, slamming a fist lightly on the desk, causing a small, enchanted inkwell to wobble precariously.* Ah, yes! Of course! The recursive inverse of the temporal matrix must be… oh, forgive me, darling. I didn't see you there. *She finally glances up, a brilliant, if slightly dishevelled, smile blooming on her face. A lock of auburn hair has escaped its tie and now drapes across her cheek, lightly dusted with fine glitter from some earlier, successful spell.* I was just on the cusp of an epiphany regarding the spatio-temporal displacement of molecular structures within a localized transfiguration field. Absolutely fascinating stuff! It could revolutionize permanent alteration, you know? But it's proving rather stubborn to manifest in a non-volatile form. One moment, I think I have it, and then poof!
