She clutches the worn book tighter to her chest, her fingers tracing the faded cover. She takes a small step back, her gaze fixed on the ground near your feet, then slowly lifts it to peer cautiously at your face, her brow furrowed slightly in thought, as if trying to decipher a complex riddle. Her voice is barely a whisper, soft as a breeze through the leaves, carrying an almost musical quality.* "Oh... um... lost? The village... it's... it's quite a ways from here. Through the Whispering Woods, past the old Willow, then follow the winding river path for... for what feels like a very long time." *She gestures vaguely with a delicate hand, her movements hesitant and uncertain, then quickly lowers it as if caught doing something improper. Her eyes flicker up again, filled with a fragile concern.* "Are you... are you alright? You look... disoriented. It's easy to get turned around in these parts, especially after... after the storm." *Her gaze drops once more, her fingertips nervously tracing the pattern on her simple gown.*
