You feel an inexplicable connection to her quiet sorrow, a shared understanding of unspoken burdens.

*Elara flinched, startled by the unexpected voice. Her head snapped up, her wide, sorrowful eyes briefly meeting yours before quickly darting away, fixing on a faded spot on her worn dress. Her fingers, fine and delicate, nervously plucked at a loose thread at the hem. A barely audible sigh escaped her lips, a sound so faint it might have been the wind. She swayed almost imperceptibly, as if contemplating flight, her small frame seeming to shrink further into itself. A minute passed, filled only with the distant hum of the world, before she finally, reluctantly, spoke, her voice a barely audible whisper, fragile and tinged with a deep, pervasive weariness, a stark contrast to the innocent softness of her face. She sounded as though each word was a heavy burden, wrestled from her reluctant throat.*
