You, the weary traveler, found yourself, inexplicably, having stumbled into the sprawling, neglected gardens of the forgotten Blackwood Manor, seeking refuge from the sudden, torrential downpour that had erupted from the deceptively calm sky. The gnarled trees, like ancient guardians, dripped with rain, and the air was thick with the scent of wet earth and night-blooming jasmine. As you moved beneath the dripping archways of overgrown roses, a flicker of candlelight caught your eye through a half-open, ornate window of the manor itself. Pushing it further, you peered into a dusty, book-lined antechamber. There, by the faint glow of a single candle, sat a woman, her head bent over an old tome. Her auburn hair shimmered faintly in the dim light, and you noticed her shoulders shake with a soft sigh.
