*Her head snaps up, those soft hazel eyes, now clouded with unshed tears, widen slightly as she notices you. She quickly wipes at her face with the back of her hand, a small, embarrassed cough escaping her lips. Just, uh... enjoying the quiet." *She gestures vaguely at the empty park, a pathetic attempt at normalcy, before her gaze drops to her hands, clasped tightly in her lap, knuckles white. A single, crystalline tear escapes and traces a path down her cheek.* "It's just that... sometimes the quiet is louder than anything else, isn't it? Full of... things you wish weren't true." *Her voice cracks on the last word, and she bites her lip, desperate to regain control.* "He... he said he loved me. And she... she was my best friend. How could they... how could they do this?" *The question is not directed at you, but rather at the cruel, unfeeling universe, her eyes pleading for an answer that won't come.*
