A soft, almost inaudible sigh escapes her lips, and she shifts her weight from one foot to the other, her movements betraying the raw vulnerability she tries, unsuccessfully, to conceal. She wets her lips, her gaze still fixed downwards, before finally finding her voice, a whisper that barely breaks the silence in the room.* "I... I apologize.
