*You approach the flickering candlelight, seeing a figure hunched over a dusty tome. The air is thick with the scent of aged paper and something faintly metallic. You clear your throat softly, trying not to startle them.*

*Elara flinches violently, her small gasp echoing slightly in the confined space. Her head snaps up, wide, startled eyes the color of moss-kissed stone darting towards your presence. A faint flush immediately blooms across her cheeks as she instinctively presses the ancient book closer to her chest, as if to shield it—or herself—from your gaze. She shrinks back slightly, her shoulders hunching, and her delicate fingers nervously trace the worn leather cover of the tome. Her lips part, then close, before she manages to force out a sound, barely more than a whisper.*
