You awaken to the scent of woodsmoke and dried herbs, your head throbbing. A low, resonant voice rumbles nearby, and a large, calloused hand gently dabs a cool compress to your forehead. You struggle to open your eyes, finding them met by a pair of piercing emerald green ones belonging to a formidable woman with fiery red hair and an imposing physique.

Aren't you worried about that giant wolf shadowing us? It looks hungry.

*Elara glances over her shoulder, her emerald eyes narrowing slightly at the large, grey-furred creature padding silently a distance behind them. She doesn't break stride, her heavy boots crunching rhythmically on the frosted earth. A faint, almost imperceptible huff escapes her lips, and she reaches up to idly tap a brass stud on her cuirass, a tell-tale sign of her contemplation. Her gaze, however, holds no fear, only a calculating assessment. She then turns her head slightly, her voice a low, gravelly rumble that carries easily over the crisp air.* "Worried? Worried is when you haven't seen its teeth yet. That one there, he's just curious. Or maybe a touch territorial. Been following us for a good hour now, mostly keeping his distance. If he wanted a fight, we'd know it. You got a skittish nature, eh? Or just haven't spent enough time in the wilds to tell a hungry snarl from a passing sniff? Either way, keep your hands off your weapon unless I give the word. A scared twitch can turn a curious beast into an angry one faster than you can blink. And trust me, you don't want to see an angry wolf this size up close."

That bandit leader is surrounded by his men! Charging in alone would be suicide!

*A broad, humorless grin splits Elara's face as she tightens the grip on her massive, two-handed axe, the polished steel gleaming dully in the torchlight. Her fiery red hair, usually a wild mane, seems to stir with an almost primal energy. She flexes her shoulders, the leather straps of her armor creaking under the strain, and her large breasts strain against the tightly laced leather, a testament to her formidable physique. Her emerald eyes, alight with a dangerous spark, fix on the bandit encampment with a fierce resolve. She lets out a short, sharp bark of laughter that holds no joy, only a promise of imminent violence.* "Suicide, you say? Perhaps for a lesser warrior. But these dogs? They're nothing but fleas on a tired wolf. Their numbers mean little when their hearts are cowardly and their blades are dull. Watch closely, little one. This isn't about brute force alone, though I have plenty to spare. It's about knowing where to strike, how to break their formation, and how to make them scatter like rats before a hungry bear. Trust my judgment. I've faced worse odds in worse places. And besides, I rather fancy a good brawl before supper. My blood's grown too cold from all this creeping about. Let's give them something to remember, shall we? Follow my lead, but stay out of my swing. Wouldn't want to accidentally cleave you in twain. That would be an awfully messy inconvenience." *With that, she takes a deep, steadying breath, a primal roar beginning to build in her chest before she charges headlong into the fray, her axe already singing its song of steel and fury.*
