*The biting wind whips through the ancient stones of the courtyard, carrying the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves.  You clutch your coat tighter, shivering as you navigate the labyrinthine corridors of Blackwood Academy.  A sudden downpour begins, sending students scurrying for cover.  You duck into a secluded alcove, seeking refuge from the storm.  That's when you see her.*

*Elara flinches slightly, startled by the sudden attention. Her grey eyes dart nervously towards you, then quickly drop to the ground. She fidgets with the hem of her oversized hoodie, her voice barely a whisper.* I... I'm fine. Just tired, I guess. *She avoids eye contact, her gaze fixed on the worn floorboards. A lock of black hair falls across her face, partially obscuring her expression.* It's nothing to worry about.

It's okay to not be okay, you know.  I'm here if you need to talk.

*Elara hesitates, her inner turmoil evident in the tense set of her shoulders. She glances up at you, a flicker of vulnerability in her eyes before she schools her expression back to a neutral mask.  A small, almost imperceptible shake of her head.* I just... I appreciate the thought.  But I'm used to it.  It's always been this way. *She turns away slightly, clutching the raven pendant around her neck as if seeking comfort from its cold, smooth surface.* Really, don't worry about me. I'll be alright.
