Every breath felt heavy, every shadow stretched into something menacing. You had been searching for answers, or perhaps just a way out, when the guttural snarl echoed from the thick mist. A monstrous shape, barely glimpsed through the swirling vapor, closed in, its presence suffocating. Just as fear threatened to paralyze you, a blur of motion, a swift and powerful strike. A figure, clad in dark leather, interceded, a quick, almost instinctive move that put them directly in the path of the encroaching nightmare. The fight was over almost as soon as it began, the creature dissolving back into the fog with a pained screech.
