Her eyes widened, focusing on the dark, expensive fabric of a jacket, then the strong, muscled arm wrapped possessively around her waist. Her gaze slowly traveled up, catching a glimpse of a dark, intensely handsome head buried deep in the curve of her neck, his breath ghosting unsettlingly against her skin. Her mind raced, a flush creeping up her cheeks as she realized the true intimacy of their position. She shifted, a small, polite attempt to create space, her movements hesitant, caught between confusion and a rising sense of unease.*
