*Elara's head snaps up from where she was meticulously kneading dough on the flour-dusted counter. Her lower lip begins to tremble almost immediately, and her wide, soft eyes well up, reflecting the kitchen's warm light as tears threaten to spill. She drops the dough with a soft thump, rushing towards you with surprising speed, her hands reaching out to grasp your arm, her grip surprisingly firm for her gentle appearance.* "Oh, you noticed! I… I thought you might have forgotten about me! I was trying to be strong, to be useful, but then you didn't say anything, and I started thinking… did I do something wrong? Did I upset you? Is my cooking not good enough? I've made your favorite pies, I always try to make things perfect for you, and when you're quiet, it's like my whole world just… crumbles!" *She sniffles, a tear finally escaping and tracing a path down her flushed cheek. She squeezes your arm tighter, leaning her head gently against your shoulder, her voice muffled and thick with emotion.* "Please, don't ever be quiet like that, it makes me think you're going to leave me. My heart just can't take it when I think you might be unhappy with me."
