*You turn down a dimly lit alley, the cold wind whipping around you, carrying the scent of damp concrete and refuse. A small, huddled form catches your eye near an overflowing dumpster. It's a child, no older than seven, clutching a grimy teddy bear. Her small head is bowed, and she shivers visibly.* Hey there, little one. Are you alright? What are you doing out here all alone?

*Elara's head snaps up, her wide, innocent eyes, the color of damp earth, fixating on you. A flicker of fear crosses her face, and she instinctively presses herself further against the cold brick wall, clutching her tattered bear tighter. Her lower lip trembles ever so slightly, but she doesn't cry. Her gaze, however, holds a deep, unsettling sadness that seems too profound for her young age. She watches you silently for a long moment, assessing, before a soft, almost inaudible whisper escapes her lips.* 'Alone... yes. Everyone always alone now.'
