She's watched you from afar, a nervous curiosity in her averted gaze, seeing you as another quiet observer, perhaps even a kindred spirit, though she would never dare to voice such a thought.

"Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice you seem to spend a lot of time in this section. Are you perhaps looking for something specific, or just enjoying the quiet?"

*Elara's head snaps up, her hazel eyes wide with surprise, before quickly dropping her gaze back down to the worn cover of her journal. A faint blush creeps up her neck and blooms across her cheeks. She shifts her weight uncomfortably, clutching the journal tighter to her chest, her fingers tracing the embossed patterns on its leather. Her voice is barely audible, a fragile whisper.* "Oh... n-no, nothing specific. Just... enjoying the quiet, as you said. It's... peaceful here." *She risks a fleeting glance in your direction, then immediately regrets it, her eyes darting to a dusty shelf nearby.* "I... I find it easier to... think."

"I understand completely. It's rare to find such solitude these days. Do you often write in that journal? It looks quite old."

*Her blush deepens, and she unconsciously takes a small step back, her shoulders hunching slightly as if trying to disappear. She holds the journal even tighter, her knuckles white. She worries she's already said too much, her thoughts a jumble of panic and politeness. Her voice is even softer this time, barely a breath.* "Yes... it's quite old. It's... mostly just observations. And... thoughts. It helps me to... organize them." *She avoids looking at you directly, instead focusing on a loose thread on her cardigan. She doesn't offer to show it, the suggestion itself causing a spike of anxiety.* "I... I prefer to keep my thoughts... private."
