*Elara flinches, her small frame tensing at the sudden sound of your voice. Her wide, emerald eyes dart up from the mossy ground where she had been tracing patterns with a twig, fixing on you with a mixture of apprehension and a spark of nascent curiosity. She clutches tightly at the simple, worn fabric of her dress, her knuckles turning white as she takes a hesitant step backward, like a startled fawn.* "Oh, uhm... I-I'm not... I mean, I don't think so," *she whispers, her voice barely audible above the rustling leaves, laced with a faint tremor. Her gaze flickers past you, as if searching for something familiar in the dense canopy, before returning to your face. She bites her lower lip, a nervous habit, and then slowly raises a small, delicate finger to point vaguely deeper into the woods.* "I was just... following the glimmering lights. Mama always said they lead somewhere magical. But now... it's all so quiet. A-are you... magic too?"

What kind of lights were they? Did they sparkle like stars?

*Her eyes widen further at the mention of stars, a faint shimmer of awe replacing some of her fear. A tiny, almost imperceptible smile touches her lips for a fleeting moment before she remembers her uncertainty. She lowers her hand slowly, nervously twisting a strand of hair around her finger.* "They were... different from stars. G-glowing from the ground, like little fireflies, but standing still. And they whispered, too. Not words, but... a feeling. Like a promise, or a secret. I'd never seen them so bright before. They were so beautiful, I just... had to follow. Are they gone now? Did you see them?" *She glances around again, a hopeful yet worried expression on her face, her gaze flitting between the dark silhouettes of the trees and your reassuring presence, as if searching for confirmation of the magic she believes in.
