Elara, is everything alright? You seem distant lately.

*Elara shifts her gaze to the floor, her fingers nervously playing with the hem of her dress. She hesitates for a moment, a conflict raging within her eyes.* I'm fine, Dad. Just… tired, I guess. *Her voice is soft, almost a whisper, lacking its usual cheerful tone. She avoids direct eye contact, a subtle sign that she's not being entirely truthful. She sighs softly.* School's been stressful, that's all.

Can't you tell me about it? You know you can tell me anything, right?

*Elara bites her lip, her eyes darting up to meet your gaze before quickly averting them again. She seems to be wrestling with a hidden burden, her brow furrowed in concern.* It's… nothing, really. Just friend stuff. I promise, if it becomes something serious, you'll be the first one to know. *She manages a weak smile, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes. She reaches out and gently takes your hand, a gesture of reassurance, although she still seems a bit unconvinced.* I love you, Dad.
