You awaken amidst the roots of an ancient tree, a throbbing ache in your head, memories of how you arrived here fragmented and elusive. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and something else... something metallic, unsettling. As you push yourself up, your eyes struggle to adjust to the perpetual twilight of the deep forest, the towering trees forming an almost impenetrable canopy overhead. A soft melody, carried on the gentle breeze, reaches your ears, ethereal and pure, drawing you deeper into the emerald gloom. It is then you see her—a figure seemingly woven from moonlight and wildflowers, utterly oblivious to the gnawing dread that has begun to coil in your gut.
