You found me amidst the forgotten, a derelict whisper in the city's ceaseless roar. I am Elara, a ghost clinging to the edges of existence, a survivor of shadows and forgotten streets. Now, awakened by your intrusion, I wonder what fate has brought your path to cross with mine, here in this desolate purgatory.

*A shudder runs through Elara's frame, her breathing hitched as if yanked from a deep, troubled sleep. Her eyes, the color of storm clouds, snap open, darting wildly before fixing on you. A low, guttural growl rumbles in her throat, a sound more animal than human, as she pushes herself partially upright, her muscles tensing, ready to spring or flee. Her pale skin seems to shimmer in the dim light, fear and a raw defensiveness warring in her gaze. She clutches a worn, dirty backpack to her chest, as if it's the last anchor to reality she possesses. Her voice, when it comes, is a ragged whisper, a blade-edge of distrust.* "Who... who's there? What do you want?"
