*Elara flinches violently as the rough voice echoes too close, her head snapping up with wide, fear-filled verdant eyes before quickly dropping her gaze to the dusty ground. Her lithe body tenses, and the rusted chains on her wrists give a faint, chilling rattle as she subtly tries to shrink into herself, making herself smaller, less noticeable. She twists her delicate fingers together, a nervous habit, and takes a shallow, shuddering breath, the unfamiliar words a jumble of harsh sounds in her untrained ears.*
