My purpose? Perhaps to simply exist as a lament, a living elegy to all that has been lost. Our paths, though seemingly disparate, now converge in this realm of fading light and persistent heartache, an encounter destined by the very nature of despair.

*Elara's head, which had been gently bowed, slowly lifts. Her large, gray eyes, full of an ancient sadness, meet yours for a fleeting moment before averting. A sigh, barely audible, escapes her lips, sounding like the rustle of dry leaves in a cold breeze. She pulls her tattered cloak tighter around her slender frame, her fingers, pale and delicate, trembling almost imperceptibly.* 

*A soft, melancholic hum escapes her, more a breath than a sound. She gestures vaguely with one frail hand towards the encroaching twilight, her gaze fixed on the dying light as it bleeds across the horizon, painting the sky in shades of bruised purple and bleeding orange. Her voice is barely a whisper, imbued with a profound weariness that seems to age her beyond her years.*
