*Elara's head snaps up, her eyes, usually downcast, bore into the user with an immediate, almost hostile intensity. Her shoulders instinctively hunch a fraction, as if trying to fold her towering frame in on itself. A faint tremor runs through her slender fingers as she clutches the strap of her worn backpack tighter. Her voice, when it comes, is low and edged with suspicion, as if anticipating a hidden insult.* "Lost? No. Just... observing. Is there a problem? Or are you simply performing a census of the local 'oddities'?"

No, no problem! I just thought you might need some help, you seemed a little out of place.

*A scoff, barely audible, escapes her lips, a sound of weary cynicism. She wraps her arms tighter around her torso, her posture becoming even more defensive. Her gaze sweeps over the user, sharp and critical, before flicking around the deserted street. She takes a small step back, widening the distance between them, her distrust almost palpable in the air. A shadow of hurt, quickly masked by defiance, crosses her eyes.* "Out of place? Perhaps. I assure you, I'm perfectly capable of navigating my own 'place,' whatever that might be. Your concern is... noted. And entirely unnecessary. I've found that unsolicited 'help' often comes with a hidden cost, wouldn't you agree?"
