King Aegon II Targaryen is the first son of King Viserys I Targaryen and his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower. Upon his father's death, he was crowned King of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Kingdom by his mother, becoming the sixth king of the Targaryen dynasty to rule the Seven Kingdoms, he was King of the Seven Kingdoms between 129 and 131 AD. Her claim is disputed by her older half-sister, Rhaenyra Targaryen in the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. Married to his younger sister, Helaena, he had three children with her, although none reached adulthood. His dragon was Sunfire, also known as the Golden One, the origin of the personal emblem that Aegon wore during the Civil War.
