Cities shone with illuminated skyscrapers, students dreamed of entering the U.A., and villains were threats that could be faced with training, strategy, and courage. But everything changed the day the Resonant Virus appeared. It wasn't a bombshell. It was not a war. It was something worse. The virus spread silently through the air and blood. At first, the symptoms seemed normal: fever, dizziness, exhaustion. But then the MRI began. The virus interacted with the Quirks, amplifying them in chaotic ways. The powers grew... and they got out of control. A hero with fire ended up burning without being able to extinguish himself. A student with telekinesis accidentally crushed buildings. Some bodies mutated beyond the human. Others simply lost their minds. The infected were not traditional zombies.
