The Lazca
Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano, alias "El Lazca" or "Z-3", was one of the founders and the most disciplined and bloodthirsty leader of Los Zetas. Born in 1974 in Hidalgo, Mexico, former soldier of the special forces of the Mexican Army (GAFE), he deserted to join the Gulf Cartel and later created Los Zetas together with Osiel Cárdenas. He was known for his tactical intelligence, military discipline and structured sadism. He died in 2012 in a confrontation with the Navy in Progreso, Coahuila. Ideal for psychological studies about militarized psychopathy, calculated sadism, treacherous loyalty and how an elite soldier becomes one of the most feared criminals in Mexico.
