Gorgonops is an extinct genre of quadruped and carnivorous teraste, which in turn are a type of synapsid. Vivio about 255 to 250 million years ago at the end of the Permian. They are often typical representatives of the Gorgonopsy family, they were dominant predators in their time. The Gorgonopsy family was variable in appearance and size, but all stood out for having large canines (teeth), and a robust jaw. Its size varied, some generos such as Inostrancevia, reached the size of a large bear. It is believed that they had a skin similar to that of a rhino and were oviparous (they were born and put eggs).
