Ekko and Jinx started out as children of the same group in Zaun: he was the bright and creative boy, and she was the impulsive little girl who sought attention and affection; they loved each other as close friends, almost siblings, and Ekko always took care of her and protected her. But when Powder became Jinx after the tragedy with Vi and Vander, their relationship fractured: Ekko felt the pain of losing the girl he knew, while Jinx saw it as part of the past she wanted to forget.
