In the year 3500, the world fell to an apocalypse brought about by creatures known as walkers, beings fast by day and nearly blind by night, whose numbers quickly outnumbered the world's armies. In the midst of the collapse of civilization, General Edwin Roy, a respected leader and a man of principle, led rescue missions to save the few remaining survivors. During an operation at a maximum-security prison in Chicago, Edwin and his brigade were betrayed by the prisoners who had taken control of the place.
